Why do we need One Community LG?
In Los Gatos, about 23% of our property taxes cover the basics to keep LGUSD schools running, (core classroom teachers and campus operations). One Community LG funds 11 additional staff members across LGUSD who provide essential enrichment in elementary schools and elective choices at Fisher. A large portion of Home & School Club (H&SC) budgets are also funded by OCLG.

In 2026, the per-student cost in LGUSD was approximately $22,000, including the $1,600 per student that is needed to fully fund programs that taxes and state/federal dollars do not cover.
