Spanish in Our Elementary Schools

In 2020, LGUSD announced its Strategic Plan for next 5 years.  One of the objectives was to "explore and implement the addition of World Language instruction in grades K-5."

During the 2022-2023 school year, a pilot program for Spanish language instruction was implemented for grades 1-5.

Because of parent investment in One Community LG, we were able to continue the pilot program and are now able to fund Spanish instruction for Transititional Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

We appreciate the strong support of One Community LG from our early grade levels.  Your continued support will ensure that we can fully fund all the additional programs and staff, giving our children an exceptional education.
